Failing to connect to local rpc

May 20, 2020 at 2:38pm
I cloned the aragon client repo so that I can have the aragon.org ui to use for testing creating a dao locally with aragen devchain. However when I click the "Connect account" button I am getting "Failed to enable". I setup metamask to use localhost:8545 and I set aragon client to use ws://localhost:8545 and http://localhost:8080/ipfs

Hi , sorry for the trouble. The latest version of the client currently has a bug in development related to the Account button. Could you try doing a checkout of commit fba89d9d60749c2d2a360db08a03a732119e624e (git checkout fba89d9d60749c2d2a360db08a03a732119e624e), which is version 0.8.8 and should be working.

Hmm you’re right, this bug is much older than I thought. I manually went through every versions and the last one that was working in development is 0.8.4: commit 6fa27f45fe2ca563fc2ad1325a194cd9df0afa9e
