How functional is the AragonUI Console Feature compared to the AragonCLI?

April 12, 2020 at 10:56pm (Edited 3 months ago)
I was playing around with things (my god are they insanely cool!!!! Awesome work!!!!) and wanted to install this but via the console - https://github.com/1Hive/token-request-app#how-to-deploy-to-an-organization
Could I rewrite into the UI Console, the AragonCLI which is:
aragon dao install <dao-address> token-request.aragonpm.eth --app-init-args <tokens-app-address> <vault-app-address> ["'<tokenAddress1>', '<tokenAddress2>', ..."]
So it would look something like...
exec/0x-my-org-address-1mNp/token-request.aragonpm.eth/0x-my-tokens-app-address/0x-my-vault-address("tokenAddress1" , "tokenAddress2")
Brand new on this guys, sorry if noob questions!
Thanks so much!
Congrats again on an incredibly exciting OS that you guys have cooked up :fire:

The dao install command is not currently available from the in-app console but you can easily use the aragonCLI for this is you have Mac or Linux.

To do so, simply install it with the following command:
npm install -g @aragon/cli
You will then be able to execute the dao install command from the readme.

Technically there is an "experimental" install feature in the (already "experimental" in-app console).
I would still recommend using aragonCLI, but if you're on a test org, you might as well also give the in-app console a shot too!
You can use it via install/—instructions will appear!
