my churn numbers just changed retroactively.

Hi @henrikmattsson! Yes, we've made a change to the churn calculation. We are actively moving people over to a new platform with a new, simplified churn calculation that no longer relies on a 30 day rolling window. We aren't moving people that show more than 2% variance between the old and new calculations for churn - so if you're seeing a larger difference than that, please let me know so we can investigate!
We'll have some more info about the changes sent out soon!

For the future I think it would be better to send out detailed information before the change. I present these numbers to a bunch of stakeholders, including our investors, on a regular basis and when the numbers change all of a sudden and I have no idea why, it really breaks the trust in any metric I present from Baremetrics. Our company and our investors make decisions on these numbers and when they change we have to ask ourselves: "could any of these metrics change at any point?". I am still a big fan of Baremetrics but please take this feedback to heart because I would be surprised if I am the only user with this dilemma.

I absolutely appreciate your feedback and agree with you 100%. The new metrics have been deployed in such a way that have made it difficult to communicate the changes to the right people, as not everyone's numbers changed with the new calculation. I totally agree on the need for communication here - we didn't get the timing right and I apologize!
