How to navigate from a series of [intro:once] to [menu:tabs] screens

September 24, 2020 at 3:21pm (Edited 3 weeks ago)
Do I also need [action:close], at the moment [intro:once] screens wont navigate to [menu:tabs] screens.
The flow is a series of
[intro:once] -> [intro:once] -> [intro:once] -> [menu:tabs]
But while testing it randomly starts in any of the [intro:once] screens but clicking on last [intro:once] to landing page of [menu:tabs] does not happen?
Is this a bug? mentioned this is a cache issue and should not be a problem in published app, but preferred not to let customers/end users test it out for me, that is not TDD design.

That's not what I said, I told you that it's not working like you set it up

(niceseb) Here's the setup:
  1. Create your intro screens and link them to each other. Add the Tag [intro:once] only on the 1st screen of the intro.
  2. Add the Tag [action:closeintro] to the UI element that will take the user to the home screen of your app. Do not link the element to the home screen.
  3. Link your menu icons to their respective screens. Make sure the blue Starting Frame icon is placed on your "home" screen.

thanks (christinachen) that could be it! a picture saved the day, much appreciated. But after exit, Bravo Vision is still going through the entire flow of First Visit (below)? and not as Next Visit? or is this only in Bravo Vision and not when it is published?
Is this because I have [intro:always] before [intro:once] and hence [intro:always] takes precedence and still forcing the [intro:once] to follow?

First visit:
[intro:always] -> [intro:once] -> [intro:once] -> [action:closeintro] -> [menu:tabs]
Next visit
[intro:always] -> [menu:tabs]
EDIT: Removed [intro:always] and now only a single [intro:once] as shown, but after exit and relaunching again in Bravo Vision [intro:once] whole flow is still present?

Only the first screen can have/needs the intro tag (like in the picture). You need to decide whether you want it shown every time the user reopens the app after completely closing it or just once.

(scheid) yes thanks for the reminder and tips, so can we combine always with once to get the flow as shown?

Actually it's not possible, there can be only one intro page and tag. Adding two intro pages will show only one intro.
