I've downloaded the most recent release of the product, and the trial period has not reset. I now have to decide whether to pay the fee for a project relatively early in development.

There's a trade-off between adoption and revenue, I'm wondering why you decided to allow the trial to run out whilst the product is not complete? Perhaps 2-3 day trial period on each release would help adoption?
