Very DisapointedJuly 1, 2019 at 10:31am
I've contributed 3 times to canner, and since then the only thing that got updated is the readme. I know it wasn't a lot, but in fact I was offering to contribute substantially more if they showed some sort of activity. I direct messaged @wy3 @siou and @howard-chi and received no responses. This project has so much promise but what's the point of it if it seems like all main contributors won't communicate with us?

Hey @mawk I'm so sorry for the slience, and understand you are really disappointed, we are really sorry... the reason we are not responding is because we are still thinking our next step for CannerCMS.
The thing is our team had tried to fundraise six months ago from investors to keep the CMS project up and running, but we have a really hard time to find investors to back into the project, due to the CMS market and tractions, global economy, etc... .
In the past three months we are thinking pivoting our company to make our company to be sustainable in the long-term. We don't have plans right now for CMS further development, but we still want to maintain it in the future once we solve our financial issues in our company.
We have some plans right now for the company, but we can't commit anything until know what we really can do. Our team really think CannerCMS is a promising thing so does our community. Please allow us to have some time to think the next step and once we clearly knows CannerCMS's next step we will let you know. Thank you.
P.S. I have noticed that you also commit some money into our open collective account we are extremely grateful.
We will try to get CannerCMS back to active developmenet as soon as possible. Overall, our team had spent over 3 years of developing CannerCMS we still want to make it successful, but we will need to make sure our team and company have enough resources and money that allow us to focus and commit in long-term. Thank you!

@howard-chi Hey! Thanks for this update. I love this project and I really hope you can get the funding to get it active again. I am using the Canner Firestore project internally for some projects and it has really sped up development time for moderate CMS systems that can integrate with Android/iOS apps.
While I understand you are not actively developing the project, I have a request from you and your team. Since I am using the Firestore project internally, it will be awesome to have some backup documentation (like you had on your site before) as it will help with future project should we choose to use the Canner Firestore project.
Let me know if that is possible! It could be online or as saved pdf/html files. Thank you for working on this and hope to hear from you!

Can you mantain the server up? Just to access temporaly... One year, without updates. We have just finished the project and it would be great that at least works for a year and meanwhile, develope alternatives without hurries... Now, the client doesn't accept the project as delivered.
