Uninstallation instructions

Desktop:

  • If you still have access to the Figma Plus app, you can uninstall by clicking on the Uninstall button.

  • If you don't have the Figma Plus app, or if you encounter any problem with the installer app, please delete your Figma app and visit https://www.figma.com/downloads/ to download a fresh copy of Figma.
  • If your Figma app runs into any issue after uninstallation, please delete the Figma folder at ~/Library/Application Support/(Mac) or C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Figma (Windows) and restart your app. You will need to sign in again after this step, so make sure to have your credentials ready.

Chrome:

  • Right click on the Figma Plus icon in the top right corner and select "Remove from Chrome".

Really sad to hear about the news :( I was just touting it around to my team after installing it for only about a couple weeks now! I was so excited about the Dark Mode feature. Side note, what will happen if I decide NOT to uninstall? 😅

We don't currently have a mechanism to force uninstall on users. Theoretically you can continue to use Figma Plus until the next Figma desktop app update which would automatically remove Figma Plus from the app.

Note that you will be doing so at your own risk, as there will be no support from neither Figma or the Figma Plus team on any issues that might occur when you have the plugin installed.

I used the app to uninstall, also deleted the folder, uninstalled/reinstalled Figma, restarted a bunch of times…still getting "an error occurred while loading the editor"

Ugh, now even with it reinstalled I can't use Figma.

Can you try deleting C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Figma, restart the Figma app and report back please?

I'm having the same issue, but on Mac.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but still seeing "An error occurred while opening the editor" message, can't open anything :( http://hi.buffer.com/3327c6fbfd66

Please try deleting the Figma folder at ~/Library/Application Support/
