Numerical input for scale tool

October 18, 2017 at 1:38pm

More than often I need to scale up selection by 200% or 150% or another whole value while preserving styling

Could not agree with this more. Yes to an independent scale tool.

Not what you're asking for, but in the width or height fields, you can enter calculations. For example you can type "*2" right after the number and hit enter. "34*2" -> enter

Ah sorry I misundestood your request. Yes, and also resizing text with its container, without having to increase font size.

Some of it should be at the level of constraints. very useful especially for things like icons. Bit like the scale strokes and effects toggle in illustrator.

Really don't understand how that's not available yet. One of the most used features in Sketch for me. Decided to give Figma a try for a small project and now moving everything back... I use % scale for all the quick mockups

This is definitely something we'll add support for in the future. Right now it's just a matter of resources and priority. Stay tuned. :)

Does anyone know if this is on the radar? 100% agree with @mete . Scaling numerically is a must-have. @josh
