Zooming speed with "Ctrl+Mouse Scroll" on Firefox differs from Google's Chrome.

February 22, 2018 at 8:47pm
Hi there.
Using the Firefox 58.0.2 I noticed that zooming speed with "Ctrl+Mouse Scroll" is significantly slower than in Google Chrome, which makes it almost unusable.
For reference, % difference per scroll steps:
Google Chrome - 100% - 130% - 170% - 222% - 289%
Firefox - 100% - 102% - 103% - 105% - 106% - 108%
Maybe it's platform or hardware specific, I'm not sure.
Here's my info:
OS: 4.15.3-2-ARCH
Mouse: Logitech, Inc. M90/M100 Optical Mouse

Hey thanks for reporting this. I'll send this over to the team and log it as a bug. :)
Hi Josh, thank you.
Meantime I found a workaround for everybody interested.
To accelerate zooming speed:
1. open about:config
2. search for field mousewheel.with_control.delta_multiplier_y
3. increase the value to speed it up
I've changed the value from 100 to 500, works for me.

Hi! I'm at FF at Kubuntu 18.04, and this issue not only about zoom. It also related to usual scroll (x and y). It' too slow. Also no problems at Chrome. Hack with about:config is not cool because it's global.

That bug still exists. Chrome in last update has broken on my system (arc linux) so firefox is one options for me =(

Same here with Ubuntu 16.04 Firefox 64.0.2 :(

And Firefox 66.0.3. I wonder if this is a bug in Figma or in Firefox - where to report this?
Looks like it is happening in a) Firefox b) Linux. I have a friend which runs Figma in Firefox on Windows and everything's fine there.
