Figma / General
Example; A global navigation component, that can be included in all artobards..
Hi guys! Anyone that knows how to make global hotspots/links in proto? I only get it to work if my master component is included in my flow. As soon as i extract the master and put it in my designsystem (another page), its not working anymore... Please help :-)
No that doesn't work. You have to wire up instances after placement. There is no templates for prototype like Invision.
Hey, @josh I was trying to show off the super cool examples on Figma's developer's page, but they are currently broken, for me at least: https://www.figma.com/developers
The images are broken, and Figma links aren't being accepted.
Hey! We started a series about "Tools for makers" on our companies instagram. The first post is a declaration of love for Figma. Would be happy if you check it out here: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt5cHQMnjik/

Yet another hard to understand behaviour in Figma!
Hi, newbie here, is there a way to alter underline options?
Underlines can be enabled and disabled and that's pretty much it. Are you hoping to achieve something advanced?
I think you have to fake advance underlining, you have to do tricks in CSS too.
I am trying to map the zoom commands to use cmd instead of navigate to the corresponding tab. I've gone into the macOS level settings to map my desired shortcuts and the new shortcut is shown in figma's mac menu, but it doesnt seem to be actually mapping the changes.
Does anyone know why this may be the case?
Hi everyone. New to the community. I started using Figma several months ago to set up a design system for a client. I then switched over to explore Framer X for the last few months (long painful story) and now revisiting Figma. I've noticed that embedded frames are not pinning to grids as they use to? As the example shows I have a frame of elements (text & button) that is pinned to grid 1 of 2 in the base frame. Even though I have the constraints of this embedded frame set to left & right, when I scale the whole frame the embedded frame does not keep pinned to the grid. This worked beautifully a few months ago when I was working in Figma, now it appears broken? Am I missing something here, or is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks for any feedback!

You mean using + and - to zoom the view, or at the window level, to fill up the entire screen?
mainly zoom to fit and selection. I dont have a problem with the regular zoom in and zoom out
Even if those shortcuts are specifically assigned to only be applied when using figma? I'm pretty sure I've remapped those key commands previously. Sketch also uses these by default.

Sorry, correction … yeah, this is probably a bug unless Figma are reserving Command-1 and Command-2 for future functionality in the app.
Hi Max! FWIW I re-created your design in Figma and got it to scale to the grid OK. I tried this with constraints set to as both a group, and then component. Did you try setting your constraints to something different, then setting them back?
Hmm. Yeah, I tried that and it still didn't work. BUT with your success, I explored this a little more and think I discover the problem? Interestingly the file that I've been working with is an older file from several months ago. I noticed when I recently opened this file all the constraints were reset and I had to go back and reset all my attributes on everything. (kind of annoying). This is when I discovered this grid pinning problem. I took my same design above, started a new file and recreated this - works as it should! So something in my original file has become buggy for some reason?
Thanks for the exploration and feedback!
