How do I define a new frame size?

January 22, 2018 at 11:04am
I see that Figma comes with some predefined frame sizes like "iPhone X", "Desktop HD", etc. How can I add my custom frame size to this list?

You can't, right now. If you use it that often, turn it into a component and add it to the library.

Any plan for this functionality? Sounds pretty basic to me to be able to define your own top-level page sizes.

I've try to mirror on an android phone and none of the available templates fit nicely.

I'd also like to prototype for Windows. The existing desktop templates are really weird, if you ask me :-)

I have the same issues all the time, but I either resize the default frames or draw them the ”right way” in the first place.
It's the same with colors, which you can't edit, name or group.

The weird thing is that the predefined sizes are 1 px off. For Pixel 2 Figma sets 411x731, but it actually is 412x732 according to the device, and you can't correct the value in the Figma template.

I could be going crazy but I thought I was able to add custom frame templates and they would show up in the drop down menu.

I don't think we've ever had this. Sketch does though. We do have a preset frame for Dribbble though.
