How to prevent decimal pixels?

September 28, 2017 at 2:44pm
I'm having a recurrent problems and I need your help guys! Is there any way to prevent decimal pixels (i.e. 3,76 or 18.12)?

you need to select snap to pixel grid in your preferences
Awesome mate thank you very much!

Hey guys, is there a way to force Figma really stop using decimals? This feature is great whem moving a component but it doesn't prevent from typing 0.4 for example. I'd like to find a way to force Figma to use 0 if someone types 0.4, or 1 if someone types 0.8. Thanks

This is not affect size, only position...
We need Round to Pixels project option. If it On — any calculations in Figma should be rounded to integer.

any news on avoiding fractional / decimal pixels in figma when scaling with width:height locked?
'snap to pixel grid' and 'round to pixel' (exists) & help but the culprits for me are imported sketch files which are all off - rounding every element to the pixel grid is an endless grind it needs an all file action.

Yeah this is a problem with scaled frames and elements
That doesn't avoid that. The snap to pixels.

Yeah this drives me crazy.
I'd expect that 99% of the time designers would not want objects to land on decimal pixels, but even with Snap to Pixel on this still happens A LOT. A project option would be ideal, concerned it happens when I copy stuff in from other designer's art-boards.
Super annoying.

Same here. I spend a lot of time adjusting the pixels even with snap to pixel on :(
I feel like the entire handling of scaling/positioning got less robust lately

I'll end up with "half pixel" or items that scale to 99px or 101px but not even numbers or better yet "multiple of my 8px grid". Don't know what happened, back in the days the snapping felt a lot better (?)
oh God Spectrum...whyy 😅

Same with me and my coworkers. Using Windows (10) desktop version (always latest). We spend a lot of time adjusting decimal pixels to integers. The things are getting worse in the last version (70, build 7). Even the pixel grid does not snap correct to the objects if they are well adjusted (integer).
Snap well on the grid, but not well according to the information on the right. :)
Snap to pixel grid doesn't work. Worse Figma moves stuff randomly off pixel values. Eg. a 24x24px icon will magically become a 24x23.18pm icon with odd XY as a result. Frustrating. :/ My OCD can't handle it.
Drawing from fresh with snap on should always be integral values in properties, report as a serious bug to [email protected] is a key core feature to get right for a screen design tool.

This is also affecting my workflow a lot. Specially when resizing components that should scale.

Phew! I'm not the only one experiencing this. First it was an annoyance, but now it is a real pain point. I find myself wasting a lot of time addressing the decimal-based pixel heights and widths every single day, after resizing elements on the page - especially, when designing complex data tables! For what it's worth, I am using the Windows Desktop app (Release 71, Build 4).
