Topic Tuesday: If you could go back in time to when you were just getting started in design, what's one bit of advice you'd tell yourself?June 19, 2018 at 5:42pm
What's that one thing that you've learned now, but wish you learned when you were first starting out?

Hold ideas loosely.
The hardest part of the job will always be learning how to work with other team members (dev, business, product, marketing...). Everyone has different backgrounds, needs, goals, expectations. You'll be in the middle of everything. Learn how to listen and don't forget that intuition is also very important. I struggle everyday, but that's also the fun part of it.
hahah this is amazing. What I've found to be so true relating to this is the easiest clients are the ones you charge the most. There's this weird inverse relationship (I should just make a charge) where the amount you charge is directly inverse to the amount of pain you'll feel from a client. It must be that the client assumes if you don't care much you have no idea what you are doing. Or that the people that pay you a lot don't have time to be a pain. Either way...so much yes to this.
