The one thing I wish Jira would do is let you add the design link while creating the card. Right now, you have to create the card, then add the design link from the little "3-dots" menu

I tried this but can't figure this out. I want to add the iframe to an issue but do I need to install a different add-on or? Pasting the iframe link in the description isn't working.
have you guys tried to activate the Code mode when you add the IFRAME ?

Yes I tried both the code block as type style code. Both doesn't seem to work, even after refresh.

and when you paste just the shareable link ? does it renders a preview ?
