Line-Height & Text Align (Middle)August 20, 2018 at 2:39pm (Edited 2 years ago)
I have a problem how Figma manages the Line-Height combined with Middle Text Align.
If I have a text with 32px Line-height, 16px Font Size, with Text Align Middle selected, and I create a new row, all the text rows go up, very frustrating. Please see the image below for example.
Sketch doesn't have this problem, because Sketch can make a difference between Area Text and Point Text, and disables the Text Align for Point Text, which Figma doesn't.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

I didn't defined a Text Area (by dragging with the Text Tool), I only created a Point Text (clicking with the Text Tool), and this should have the alignment disabled since I didn't defined an area. Look how Sketch behaves and you will see what I mean.
Yes, I wanted the text to be top pinned.
From Figma Help: Hey Andrei, thanks for the feedback. This is something we'd likely want to change in the future, however changing the behavior requires some additional analysis and likely won't change anytime soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
