Line - Stroke - Weight - Align not working

June 22, 2018 at 10:30am
Hi! Amazing tool so far but I ran into an issue with lines. I'm trying to connect two points with a line and regardless what I choose in the "Align" it seems to be "Inside" all the time. As you can see on the attached picture I have selected "Center" but the Handle is still on the corner. It works as it should with Arrows. Am I doing something wrong?

I am using the Online version of Figma.
You are trying to have the green line snap to the outer stroke? And not the path?
Thank you for the reply. No, I'm trying to snap the center point of the line with the path of the circle. Now it only snaps to the corner grip of the line.
When I change the Width from 1 to 10 I want the line to grow 5 in each direction from the Center line. Ellipse worked great like that.
I need to build some construction lines because there is no Tangent Snap, right?
I'm building the symbol you see in my Avatar with 5 Circles, and 4 Tangent lines.
This might be a bug with our line tool. Could you try recreating the line with the pen tool instead?
Pen is working! Thanks, my problem solved.
I think the pen tool has the line centered...while the line tool maybe doesn't
I think Sketch has the same weirdness.
Yeah I've never been a fan of the line tool in Sketch. I think Figma's is better, but still not perfect.
