Resize using keyboard while keeping constrained proportions
October 8, 2018 at 8:46amI can’t seem to understand how to use the keyboard to resize an object (CMD + arrow keys) while the object keeps its proportions. I have turned on the constraints, but using CMD + left arrow squishes the shape horizontally, instead of scaling the whole thing proportionally. Something I’m doing wrong?

1. Select Layer. 2. Hit the "Constrain Proportions" button next to Width & Height. 3. In the Width & Height Fields, use the up and down arrow keys, OR Shift+Up or Shift+Down
^ That will use the keyboard only and constrain proportions

Thanks for your reply, but again this is not what I’m looking for. With your method I have to grab the mouse and move the cursor to the width or height input fields, click and then go back to my arrow keys. Sketch, Framer X, Adobe XD (as far as I’m aware) lets you use cmd + arrow keys when a layer is selected to resize the object, just as Figma. They, however, respect the constrained proportions, while Figma do not.
