A Meetup Group has been created. The link has been added above. I've reached out to two local places trying to workout a location. I'm hoping to know the location by next week, and schedule the first Meetup. The goal will be to livestream the event as well.

Welcome spread the word! I know there are quite a few designers and developers in the Tampa Bar area that might be interested.

The first topic will be constraints. I've been really exploring constraints with our products, and building some "flexible" components. I'm planning to live stream...so hopefully people outside the area can tune in as well.

Sounds awesome! It'd be pretty interesting to see how some other teams are using Figma to create more 'usable' components and overcoming some legacy design constraints they've been facing.

Looks like we have secured a location. Finalizing details next week. The first meetup will likely be the beginning of next year. I believe it will be better timing with the approaching holidays.

The event went really well. ~30 attendees, and a good amount of interest about Figma. We didn't get to live stream, but will try next time.

Thanks for the reminder! I missed the last (first) one after being stuck on some last-minute project stuff at work, but it's great to see a large amount of interest in the Tampa area

Less RSVP'd this time. But I expect we'll still pull close to 20. I'm happy with a medium size group. Allows for questions, and more of a group of friends feel.
