Error on `apps create`: open /me/project.com: is a directory

I followed the getting started speed run: https://fly.io/docs/speedrun/#start-your-speed-run-now and used the brew tap install method (which seems to install an older version).
Maybe has to do with the . in the path. Version is 0.0.106.

Could you give the command you issued which gave that error? I've checked and the tap is offering the 0.0.115 (current) version.

Weird, brew upgrade doesn't get me that version but perhaps it's a CDN/cache thing. I moved my folder to a path with no . in it, and it seems to have worked.
BTW, are random name always recommended or just for the "speed-run" demo? Any reason not to give it a more fitting name? Security? Would mysitecom-random-chars be better than mysitecom as a name?

random generated names are recommended to avoid namespace collisions. The system will generate a name for you, you don't have to generate one yourself.
