Adding a timecode range for comment

June 3, 2020 at 11:43pm
Looking at the api docs adding a comment seems to only have the ability to add one timestamp in the payload. If there a way of passing two timestamps to give the comment a range. Replicating the holding down of shift on the web player. I'm using the python client.

Here's how you do it! All you need to do is add a duration and you'll get a range-based comment.
def leave_range_baesd_comment():
client = FrameioClient(os.getenv("FRAME_IO_TOKEN"))
res = client.create_comment(
asset_id="9cee7966-7db1-4066-b326-f9e6f5e929e4",
text="This is my range based comment",
timestamp=1911,
duration=3.5,
)

I'll make sure that our documentation gets updated with that field for the future!
