How to handoff to developers?January 8, 2020 at 12:43pm
There are a few different methods of handoff in Framer.
Designers can handoff specs using the handoff panel More info here: https://www.framer.com/blog/posts/framer-handoff/
Code from components and overrides can be handed off by sending the code folder from the project file or by 'Copying code' from public packages. More info here: https://www.framer.com/support/using-framer-x/developer-handoff/
Framer Motion can be used to close the handoff gap More info here: https://www.framer.com/motion/?_ga=2.139496435.1361903472.1578300901-680524734.1570544680
Framer projects can be inspected on the web or with a web preview More info here: https://www.framer.com/support/using-framer-x/export-framer-x-project/

What we essentially need is a visual inspector tool like Zeplin. Handoff does the job but the limitation is that my developer would require to install FramerX too - that is additional cost now. Would be great if Handoff could be separated and could live on the web. So I just share a link with the dev team and they can click on the elements and get the specs for it.
