Can you create a fully functional React app with Framer X?April 24, 2019 at 9:30pm
I'm new to React and I will be started a new project to learn. Framer X just released Framer Bridge which allows you to have one repo and make updates to it as you add new features to your product.
My question is, can you create a React app that will deploy all within Framer X? And later down the road if I decide not to use Framer X, will the code that I write in it be reusable without modifications?

Hey, short answer no—long answer sort of.
While it does bring development and design closer together, Framer’s primary use case is still design, and the expectation is that you’ll be using a standard development practice to build a production version. Though you can bring production components into Framer, you can’t as easily take Framer components out into production.
That said, You can definitely create “working” prototypes, in that your prototypes will interact with real data and let users complete real tasks. The web preview that Framer exports are essentially built websites, and can be permanently hosted online.
The code components you make in Framer will mostly work in regular React projects, too.
