FramerX and GitHub

March 20, 2019 at 10:26pm

Hey guys. I’m using Github Desktop with FramerX and I use the .framerfx extension. But how do I share my project with team members? Right now, if I send them a link to my GitHub repo and they download to desktop, they just get the contents of the folder but no FramerX project. Anyone got any suggestions?

Hmm, are you putting the actual .framerfx package file in git, or just the contents of the package? Either way a quick fix is to copy the contents into a new folder, then just rename the folder to whatever your project is called and add the extension.framerfx to the name. Adding that extension should turn it into package Framer can open

So I use the GitHub Desktop app, and I just dragged my .framerfx project into the GitHub app and created a repo from that. And now, If I do Download ZIP from GitHub, I get a master folder with just the contents, but not a FramerX file I can open in FramerX.

Simply rename that master folder that master.framerfx in finder and then open it up in Framer X
