I will be in the same position as you in around 6 months. I am teaching myself front end and currently know HTML, CSS, Javascript and now learning React. I am wondering in 4 months I feel I will be ready for entry level job

I recommend that you do pet projects that you can place on your resume. Some employers may offer you a job if you have a good portfolio.

TLDR; Always be coding and like said, working on side projects to add to your resume is a good idea.
To add to that I'd recommend making sure they are well-rounded and not the same type of project. Ex: Do one that requires authentication, one that uses Redux, Mobx, Context API, etc. for global state management, one to show off CSS animations, etc.
