Simple Sales CRM with Sample Google Sheet Script and Custom JS Functions

August 20, 2019 at 9:56am
Hi guys,
Just wanted to share a sample app that i made that might prove helpful. It's a crm contact app that uses an Interest Level method for working leads through a sales funnel. There's a lot more that could be done, but it is just a simple app that can also demonstrate what can be done with sheets along with custom functions.
There are some functions that can be customized in order to create a unique record id based on a date/time stamp, add values and/or formulas to a record when a user edits a record from the glide app. (Ex creating/inserting formulas to concatenate or count other cells, adding a generic profile image that changes when a user selects a different gender, etc) You can open the script for more details on the functions, how to customize them, and how to make them active after you duplicate the app in glide. Feel free to help me improve the functions. Some of them may prove to be helpful functions you can copy into your own projects too.
Hope it is helpful. Appreciate any suggestions or questions.

Thanks guys! I hope it helps. I found that script functions are super helpful and help to keep the spreadsheet clean and protected against a person/client accidentally breaking some stuff. At least with functions things might be easier to fix :) Let me know if you have any suggestions. The code isn't perfect but i tried to comment it well and make it so that it was easy to follow/modify.

In case it's helpful, I added the sample functions to a github repo just for reference.
