Does HIGH MOBILITY support hybrid cars?

November 20, 2019 at 2:39pm (Edited 1 year ago)
Hi there,
A question which our team here at HIGH MOBILITY is frequently asked is if our platform supports hybrid vehicles. For example, if a car is driving in hybrid mode is it possible to get data from your API?
- Could you answer this question for our forum members?
Thanks!

The short answer is YES. Longer answer:
We have both hybrid and electric vehicles using our API today. The API has support for information such as powertrain status and a multitude of other information. The API can give plenty of information about the electric powered parts such as charging status, estimated electric range and so on. It all depends on what information the specific vehicle manufacturer has in their functions. So, if the manufacturer has a status that changes depending on the source of power we can supply that via our API.
If you want to dig into the specifics you can check out our REST Auto API reference. https://high-mobility.com/learn/documentation/rest/reference/v2/
