This is because the default font is "OnePlus Slate". The easy fixed is to change the default font to "Roboto" (From device setting).
I also try to fix it with a better method (IMHO) by styling the font property instead. However, it seems it doesn't work on <Button>

Ah, good catch!

If I remember correctly, "button" styles cannot be changed, but in the book I have an example where I style a link as a button in React Native

As far as I know, this isn't an accessibility issue (like it would be for the web)
