I quick question how do I increase the default comment brightness. For my taste it is still hard to read comments

This depends on the port projects you're using. Most of the larger ports have already adapted to the change of the default comment color brightness while some others are still pending. Some ports already provided an option (when the actual target application allowed it) to increase the brightness percentage level, but with the default changes these options are deprecated.

I am using Nord VIM. I am aware of the new 15% increase. But that still too little for me. Iwas wondering if there was another way to increase that?

Sure, for Vim it's quite simple. There's a guide on how to override styles with customizations in the official Nord Vim documentations. So for comments you can override the Comments group:
augroup nord-theme-overrides
autocmd!
" Use another foreground color for Vim comments.
autocmd ColorScheme nord highlight Comment guifg=<YOUR_CUSTOM_HEX_COLOR_CODE_HERE>
augroup END

Thank you. I was having issues with the above code because the VIM nord example states to change the vimCommentTitle.

Yup, that's the example used in the documentation, but to customize any other elements the theme file can be used as reference to get the names of the groups.
