OpenCerts Admin Connection Issue

June 21, 2021 at 1:27am
Hi guys, Recently our registrar officer tried to publish eCert via the https://admin.opencerts.io/ -> Ledger -> Production, they received 'No compatible devices found' message. They manage to publish it few weeks ago. We also try to access via Metamask, but have 'Json RPC error'. They have been trying this quite few times and same issue occured. Does anyone have the same issue?

There is a browser issue with latest chrome (I guess chrome based too like edge). Check this => https://github.com/OpenCerts/admin-website/issues/344
We don't have Firefox installed. Can we use Chrome to access the https://firefox.admin.opencerts.io to publish eCert? The metamask is not working as there is 'Json RPC error' error.
Unfortunately https://firefox.admin.opencerts.io will only work with firefox For the main website (admin.opencerts.io) it should work on chrome, but there are reports it doesn;t work. Maybe try to downgrade before 91 ?
We are unable to downgrade the Chrome as GovTech found vulnerability in older version of Chrome.
what version of chrome do you have ?
Version 91.0.4472.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)
We tried on
  • chrome 91.0.4472.106
  • chrome 91.0.4472.114
And it works correctly. Someone mentioned he had to click retry on the opencerts application to have it working though.
For Metamask I read somewhere there is a notice because of the bug. We tried on
  • chrome 91.0.4472.106
  • chrome 91.0.4472.114
And it works correctly. Someone mentioned he had to click retry on the opencerts application to have it working though.
For Metamask I read somewhere there is a notice because of the bug. Ledger through metamask doesn't work and require to use the ledger live application.
You can check with your user if there is anything blocking on their side, maybe by asking an HAR file (from chrome). If this doesn't work too, Firefox again
