September 9, 2020 at 9:02amHi guys,
I refer to OpenCerts v1.5 on the below website, I found that there is some missing fields which we did not include in our OpenCert 1.5 schema enhancement.
https://github.com/OpenCerts/open-certificate/tree/master/schema/1.5
May I know what are the following fields refer to? There are example values shown in the example.json file which I don't understand what does it mean. Please kindly advise.
Thank you.

Hi (jacelee2000), these fields are from the Singapore Standard Educational Classification. You may want to refer to https://docs.opencerts.io/v1/announcements/schema1.5.pdf

hi thank you for sharing. Is the field compulsory in OpenCerts? Based on the OpenCerts 1.5 document, it is not stated as compulsory.
However, one of our student has issue view his OpenCerts using his ecert generated without the FieldOfStudy field. The SSG mentioned need to include FieldOfStudy field.
What about other institute? Do you guys have same issue?
I don't see the field being mandatory in the schema (https://schema.opencerts.io/transcripts/1.5) do you have a sample ? (dont forget to update field that should not be displayed)
We have one incident where student try to make claim in SkillsFuture but failed. SSG mentioned is due to fieldofstudy is not in the eCerts schema file. Is that so?
Below is the student issue.
“The student is trying to submit a SkillsFuture Credit for a WSQ course that he is taking on his own. When he tries to make a claim, he is required to complete his particulars, including his highest qualification. The system pulls the highest qualification from the Opencert (as advised in the email), and the course title is auto reflected. However, he is unable to proceed as the “field of study” is not completed. The student is not able to input or make any changes to this field. When he checked with SSG, he was informed that the training institution must specify this field.”
I received this as a first response:
ask the person to log the case with SSG. SFC claims doesn't require this I am wondering why he is filling in this field.
Is the case already logged ?
