July 27, 2020 at 12:40pm (Edited 9 months ago)Hi Team,
We are migrating Opencerts for SSG from our 1.5 version to 2.0, we checked the documentation on below link: https://docs.opencerts.io/docs/migrations/v1_to_v2
Need some help to understand below:
a. host your document renderer: Do we need to create our own website to host the new OpenCerts as moving to decentralised renderer
b. The existing certs can open or verify on Opencerts.io and moving on with decentralisd renderer can user still open new 2.0 version certs on Opencerts.io
If you have any further details can you share with on migration 1.5 version to 2.0 version?

a. Yes, you can clone this repo and host your renderer on Netlify. We have a guide here on how to create your own certificate display, and to host it on Netlify.
b. Yes, your users can still use opencerts.io to view OpenCerts 1.5/2.0 and OpenAttestation files.

- Refer to this link:
"Save the website url for future reference. You should also update the
$template.url
in your OA document." - Refer to Additional Note for Production Document Renderer: "It is recommended to use a custom domain you own for the document renderer website in production. This prevents locking in to any specific third party hosting provider."
- Refer to Netlify's pricing.
Hope it helps!
