March 25, 2019 at 10:50pmIt's almost the time of the year! We'd like to share with you the ways we retouch the cherry blossom photos.
1. Recover the detail
The first thing we want to do is to ensure we have enough details since the style of the cherry blossom photos is usually bright and soft. Therefore, we use Polarr to enhance the shadows.

2. Brighten the image
Now we have the shadow details recovered, we can further brighten the image by adjusting the white curve to the upper left side.

3. Make the sky stands out
We can make the sky stands out more by adjusting blue in the HSL tool. Things we did here: Lower the blue hue, increase the blue saturation, and further lower the blue luminance.

4. Over-expose a bit
Last but not least, we enhance the overall exposure of the image.

That's it! We are also sharing a custom filter that works best for the cherry blossom.
Let us know what you think and happy cherry blossom-seeing. :)
