Hello,
In my experience this typically happens when the docker container isn't running Prisma.
Have you followed the steps in this guide?
Scroll down a bit to the Docker section.

I've recently run into something similar, but not exactly the same. I've started tracking my problem down to the fact that the heroku postgres database i had been connected to earlier in my project had the credentials changed on me from the heroku side. I was able to use the new credentials to view my database through a gui (pgadmin) but things are still not working for me on the docker/prisma side of things. docker logs say there is a problem with my password, but the passworld seems to work in the gui, so not sure.
I have run docker kill contianer# . then docker container rm contianer# . then docker-compose up -d to start a fresh container with the new credentials in place, but still no love. docker logs still point to a credential password problem, but like I said the pw seems to be working via pgadmin. Dmo16? others? thanks.

try to change the endpoint in prisma.yml to docker machine ip. You can get the docker machine ip by typing docker-machine ip default . Replace it with localhost . In my case I replaced localhost:4466 with 192.168.99.100:4466 in prisma.yml. because my docker machine ip is 192.168.99.100
