v6 status?

November 16, 2018 at 9:31am

Not sure where to pester. Just curious how close v6 is?

November 16, 2018 at 9:37am project organization looks much nicer, and it supports Babel 7 ( which means I can React.Fragment shorthand <>. is React 16.5, but I'm pretty sure everyone wants 16.7 as soon as it drops for Hooks.

I'm about to start a new project with react-static and just wanted to see if everything in the kanban ( needs to be finished (a month or more worth of work) or if I should just use react-static v5 for now and try to upgrade in the future... :\

Really kinda want hooks... Do you think I should just use react-static@6-beta right now?

Can't use Docz with react-static because it uses Babel 7.

@corysimmons V6 depends on how much time all the contributors have.. It'll get there when it gets there... :)

About the beta... I wouldn't recommend using a beta for production work because well.. beta is beta and stuff might break.

Also... the kanban is relative since new ideas might pop up and we might change those/ loads of bugs could still surface.

I'd stick with v5.9.x if your doing something for real production /your company /...

I think my plan for @\ReactStaticJS’s v6 is to wait until suspense is fully released (static rendering, too) and do another pass at the API. The current version of RS is great how it stands, so I see no reason to do 2 breaking releases within a few months of each other.
