[Resolved] When I set speed higher, narrator sounds like a chipmunk

December 20, 2019 at 6:00pm (Edited 9 months ago by @rokublac)
why when I set the speed higher does the voice sound like a chipmunk? I set 1.25 - 1.5x speed on youtube and udemy all the time and the voices don't do that?

We have found out that some casts are not published properly which causes the chipmunk effect. So if you run into any casts with that issue just give us a link and we'll fix it up. The speed function should be all good for every other casts 🙂
Also, when viewing your own casts, the speed function will cause a pitch shift but your audience will not experience this issue.

Hi there,
I'm doing the javascript bootcamp and experience the same issue. I tried multiple browsers but the issue was consistent on Chrome/Firefox/Edge.

It seems to affect only the challenge videos by "Per Harald Borgen"

Hmm, seems to be okay on my end. The cast seems to be published okay too. Is this still and issue for you?
