🎉 The all new Sketch Manager plugin 🎉June 27, 2019 at 12:40pm (Edited 11 months ago)
Proud to announce… the all new Sketch Manager plugin
After many request I’ve made a combined version of the Symbols, Text- and Layer-styles manager. So whether you want to change a Text Style or a Symbol, you can now all do it in one plugin. Making your files tidy and organised is becoming an easy job with it. No more need to spend hours changing hundreds of names, just because you misspelled the top folder.
- Smoother and faster than ever before.
- Improved UI
- Smart rename
- Delete items
- Duplicate symbols and styles
- Find unused items
This is just the start, in the following weeks I’ll release new updates. To get the best out of Sketch Manager I would love your input. That’s why I have an open roadmap. Let me know what features you would like or vote and comment on other requests. Features that are on the list already are:
- Dark mode
- Drag and drop symbols to artboard
- Find instances
- Delete and replace

Ah, I must have missed it. Still, would love more support for keywords like 'Rename It'

"Find Instances" sounds really useful, it would be great to see Sketch Manager extended to become the go-to "toolbox" for sketch by adding some Font Management options as well. There are plugins out there, but... theones I tried were a bit hit & miss on the UI & functionality.
The only semi-negative feedback I have so far is about the video on your home page. ;-) It's just too fast for people who are new totally to your tools - probably fine if someone is aware of them separately and now just needs to understand that they've come together in one plugin. I had to playback at 0.5 a couple of times to get the point. ;-) Great work on the plugin though.
Q: If I use Sketch Manager to organise all my symbols, text & layer styles neatly into folders etc. - what would my file be like when I sent it to someone who didn't have Sketch Manager installed? Would everything remain organised in the same was as it is for me? And if they then edited/saved the file & sent it back, would the original organisaton I'd applied still be resent?

Thanks! Great feedback. To answer your question: If you share it with someone else, he/she will see the same structure as you. I really wanted a solution that still works when someone else does not has the plugin.
