@brian I have dot grid on 11x17" that I had to create in Illustrator, but I was very deliberate with the grid size. What's your grid?
Mine is 4mm, and I typically draw at about 1mm = 1px density, so I can use the monotonic spacing units from an 8px design system in my low fi
Honestly, Jack...I have zero precision in my grid. I care more about the idea and basic proportions than whether I draw in a specific grid.
Sketching to me should be sloppy, and about ideas.
yeah I use whiteboards first, and often ignore the pixel density initially. I also just find that is a good size for low fidelity. Sometimes I'll use progressively darker %gray markers to go from almost-invisible to a more concrete/defined concept. It's great to be able to make a broad 40% gray line and say "this is the title of the panel" and nobody questions it because everything else is just gray, too - and the darker shades will be visually elevated in some way later. Purifies the UX, and yep - keeps it all about ideas.
