I've been using Webflow for about a year and a half. It's neat but super limited. Makes a lot of things easier, but until interactions 2.0 come out (idk when; they've been teasing it for about 80 years) I would pass. Too expensive for the lack of functionality currently.

The above only holds true if you have experience coding though. It's definitely the best codeless editor I've used.

I agree with Dakota here. If you know your code, then building from the ground up will always be better. But if you don't know code and are just building a static website (business landing page, blog, portfolio, etc.) then it's the best out there IMO.

I can't say I completely agree with Dakota and Josh. If you are going for very advanced designs, yes Webflow is not for you. But if you have a little experience with HTML and CSS, then you can make something that looks and behaves pretty decent. I would also add that one of the biggest takeaways I have after using it for about a year is that I can go from nothing to a published website it a lot quicker then if you would make it from the ground up. I work at a startup and the speed/quality ratio is way within what I need for my work.

yes, speed/quality, agree. Using for a month and i can say as lazy coder is great for fast slick sites, some templates stunigly modern and useful and at the same time incredible frustrating (lack of search and more integrations OOB) and not so $ friendly. Will see, willing to give them a year ... But what are my alternatives? I hope not hand coding or not WP, Drupal and similar open sources. Any suggestions welcome

Small followup. In case you missed it, Webflow actually just released interactions 2.0 a day ago, and this sweet ride through time https://webflow.com/ix2 😂. I am n the middle of redesigning our website so this came with perfect timing for me. Hope this as epic as advertised.
