Desktop App: Beta testers

May 28, 2018 at 2:17pm (Edited 4 years ago)
We were getting ready to ship the desktop app for Spectrum, and we could use some beta testers! (push notifications 😍) Let us know below if you want to test it out and I'll get y'all a build very soon.

CMD + [/] doesn't work.
CMD + H doesn't work.

Of course! We definitely expect a lot of initial issues like that
For CMD + [/] - what is that supposed to do?
Go back/forward, like in Safari/Chrome.
Oooh I see. Literally never used that :P
Hey where I can get the app? :)
Right-click doesn't work. (do you want us to file these issues on Github?)
What are you trying to right-click?
I guess we need most right click things, huh? But we probably don't want things like 'open in a new tab'
And I'm filing issues as we go here https://github.com/withspectrum/spectrum/issues
CMD + Click seems to open links/conversations in new windows, which is good. I'm right-clicking to copy a link to things.
On that note, I'd love a global 'share' utility to help me copy/paste a link to whatever view i'm looking at

e.g. i'm viewing your user profile, how would i share that from the desktop app? :P
I would love to be a tester! I'm trying to migrate my little design community from FB Groups!
That's basically what we did with Abstract and it's been great!

If you close out of the window there's no way to open a new window. You have to quite and reopen Spectrum.
Sorry just filed it.
Should links open in the browser?
Seems like the title for the window isn't being properly updated
I'd think they'd open in and focus your default browser, while CMD + click opens it in the browser in the background.
