Desktop App: Beta testers

May 28, 2018 at 2:17pm (Edited 4 years ago)
We were getting ready to ship the desktop app for Spectrum, and we could use some beta testers! (push notifications 😍) Let us know below if you want to test it out and I'll get y'all a build very soon.

I'd think they'd open in and focus your default browser, while CMD + click opens it in the browser in the background.
Yeah agree. Right now they create new windows in the the app though, right?
It looks like autocorrect is turned off right now. I think the app should probably have that like the web experience.

I’d like an invite! :)
Seems like I’m getting push notifications even though it seemed like it “failed” when I first attempted to allow them.
Although it's weird. Showing the text from for me and then the message count.
are you talking about the contents of the notification? I think the contents of the notification just need another pass at. Likely, need to swap the order to display the most recent message or something.
There's an error when you close the window app (not the app), you can't open it again from the dock icon.
 👋would love to help test!
haha could you edit the post to include the download link?

Hey Brian, is it possible to add this link to the main post as well?
I can't edit Max's post - I probably should have just started a new thread :P

Same, trying to right click to copy a link.
Hopefully people that land here will dig it up
Thanks everyone for all these reports! If you have a second, would you mind filing issues here: https://github.com/withspectrum/spectrum/issues/new and prefix the issue with [Desktop]

I've already snagged a bunch of these reports, but it's a bit tough to keep up with everyone testing! :D
