We're not currently working on supporting other editors / IDEs, however we are trying to make the tool more useful to teams and help them identify, discuss, and prioritise technical debt in a more powerful way. Would you have a moment to tell me more about your team's needs? It'd be really helpful for me to understand them better, and I can also run our current work in progress by you to refine our direction 😄 Let me know and feel free to DM me ✌️

Hi (michael-hagar) 👋. Yes, that came with the VSCode extension at one point. You can disable this behaviour in the extension settings (search for
stepsize commit hook
), and find existing hooks in the .git/hooks/post-commit
file of your repos if you'd like to remove the file completely. Please let me know if I can help with anything else 🙂February 15, 2021 at 4:19pm
Please authenticate your plugin, by going to https://app.stepsize.com/editor-extensions error I see when using stepsize Intellij plugin
When visit https://app.stepsize.com/editor-extensions from browser, I am able to login too
but can't get any authentication token..
can any help on how to make intellij stepsize plugin work..
Hi (nagkumar). Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having difficulties using the plug-in.
After you login, can you please find the “Integrations” section in the left sidebar. Then select “Editor integrations”
On the page there, you should be able to see your authentication token which you’ll be able to copy and use within the IntelliJ plugin.
Can you let me know if those steps work for you? If you have any other questions, or if you’re still unable to authenticate, let me know 🙂
Sorry, I am only seeing this .. no integrations menu
on visiting https://app.stepsize.com/editor-extensions redirects to https://app.stepsize.com/start
(nagkumar) Can you give that another try please? I've just changed a setting on your account.
But now it gives another error. .Wrong repository error: Make sure you are in a Git repository with a remote set
I am trying on my local machine code, where verstion control is local svn
Great to hear that it’s working now.
Our integrations only work within git repositories at the moment.
I’d suggest booking a demo with us here https://www.stepsize.com/request-demo. One of the team will chat about your use case and will help you work out how to make the most out of our platform.
