Starting a programming podcast

Starting a programming podcast

I want to start a podcast about programming for a few months now. I have 3 years of experience in web development and my main orientation is about back-end (PHP, Node and GoLang). I've read several articles about starting a podcast, but I'm afraid I won't have enough content. Do you have any tips about stuff to talk about on a podcast?

Hi, I think "documenting" your journey could be a great place to start. What you need to worry about is "consistency". Can you only spare 5 minutes, once per week? Then keep it that way. If you can give more, then do so. Talk about your week. I switched over to Anchor.fm and it's real simple to see what episodes gain more traction. Start talking and when you get a lot of content, look over which topics get more views, and start producing more on that topic. Hope this helps!

Developer Tea is a great example of this, quick and short episodes. You can apply this format as @isoloi is pointing out by documenting your journey. Document don't create.

Thanks a lot Nick, this brings a lot of motivation to me! I'm planning the contents of the first episode at the moment and it'll be out in the days to follow :)
