Is it possible to support a 1 to many vfiles w/ Unified Processor Pipeline
I love this project. It is a bit to wrap your head around at the beginning but once its clicks, its so clean. That said, I have a case where I would want to read in an MD file with a mermadi chart - (lucky for me, remark-mermaid already exists.) Which is great because I have been…
Question about `plugin` terminology and implementation
I'm a big fan of the approach unified takes and the quality of the ecosystem but writing some 'plugins' has left me pretty confused. I've been working with remark-parse, remark-rehype and rehype-stringify mostly. In the case of remark-parse you get direct access to the Parser,…
Is it possible to wrap all top-level nodes?
I'm developing a site with GatsbyJS which uses remark for parsing Markdown. For my articles I want all top-level nodes (headings, paragraphs, lists) wrapped in a div with the class container container--small. All image nodes should just be wrapped with the class container. At…
Unified compilers, replacing AST nodes
Hi! I'm trying to write my own compiler for MDX AST (the current one produces ES modules and I need something else). 1) Is there any guide/content on writing unified compilers? I've finished a basic guide on writing plugins. 2) How should I approach node replacement? Is it ok to…
markserv for remark
I found this tool called markserv that is very good for iterating on a stand-alone markdown document like the readme for a repo. It uses markdown-it though, and it would be great to be able to extend it with unified. Is there something like this in the unified ecosystem?
Anyone cached parses across runs?
I'm working on tools that understand entire projects full of markdown files as a whole, and one of the bottlenecks is reparsing everything to analyze link structure. Anyone have tips for pre-parsing, caching parses, or attaching parses to vfiles?
