Vectornator Manual suitable for vector graphic newbiesApril 19, 2020 at 5:24pm
I‘ trying to learn vectornator use since a couple of month, but progress has been very slow. I come from CAD software as Autodesk Inventor and alike and use Procreate as well.
I miss a comprehensive manual that explains the different functions instead of just mentioning them. Tutorials are plenty, but much scattered across different sites and refering to different versions. Gestures work not always as described. Symbols have changed between versions. Selecting objects and combining them yields random results.
I‘m sure Vectornator is a great software and easy to use, but I feel like I haven‘t found neither ignition key nor handbrake and pushing it manually uphill. Please help...

Some additional tutorials to learn from:
(Vectornator tutorial on iPad: Understanding the Pen tool)
(Vectornator tutorial on iPad - Understanding the Node tool)
(Create a Vector Lotus Flower in Vectornator)
Hope that helps more. Thank you. 😃
I intensely watched and drew along the pen tool session. It helped understanding the pen tool. But there os
is this gesture, where one has to tap the screen with two fingers to make one node handle in steps of 45 degrees. It works for me one out of five times. Frustrating, isn‘t it?
make one node handl snap in steps of 45 degrees, it was meant to say...

Many tutorials and a new Vectornator version later. The pen tool does now almost what I want it to do. Many other tools and functions stay miracolous to me. The tips and tutorials span several Vectornator versions, symbols and gesture behavior are not consistent. I read that it helps to be familiar with AI and Corel, which I‘m not. How about a consistent manual for this software? By the way, I work in Karlsruhe, once Corona limitations are lifted, I‘d be happy to drop in and present my wishes for a manual in person.
