Contact formJune 29, 2020 at 12:23pm
Is there a pre-made template/code for a contact sheet/form to paste in to my vev site? :) Im not that fluent in html coding, but we really need a contact form.

Hey facefirst! :)
Since we generate static HTML, you need a place to store the data. Using the Embed Anything* widget you can embed any contact form from any site such as Mailchimp, Formly, Salesforce etc.
If you have an account with any of these, I'll be happy to help you get the form into your project.
What do you need to help me going?
The Embed Anything widget is here: https://vev.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/272433525/Embed+Anything , when you create a campaign in Mailchimp you will have several embed options (check out https://mailchimp.com/help/add-a-signup-form-to-your-website/ ). These are copy-paste into the embed anything form. There's a guide on a slightly more advanced mailchimp integration where you can style the input-fields and buttons using regular Vev controls. I'll see if I can rush it and send it to you before the end of the day.
I think we managed to insert it, but is there a way to get the "contact message" directly to sales email? Now it will go to the audience list in mailchim?
Hmm, looks like its a subscription type form instead of "Contact us"

Hey, that form looks great, very simple. But, the data does not go anywhere. You'll need to find a place to store your data (not Vev!). We do not provide any PHPs for your JSs, you'll need to find those yourselves. You can get super nitty gritty and use Google sheets to receive your data (or a bunch of other various data collectors) but they aren't anywhere close to GDPR compliant.
This is usually what makes the 3rd party services handling user data worth the 10$ / month~. They'll handle all the legal stuff surrounding securely storing user data and their privacy.
If you do want to need an endpoint and you aren't storing prviate data, then I can suggest checkout out Google Sheets. They can provide you with a URL you can post data to and have it fill into your spreadsheet. This does require a bit of development on your end though.
