No sound iPad Air?

June 1, 2019 at 3:40pm

I’ve messed around with sound control buttons and Sounds in Settings, but I only get music from the app with headphones on. Is that intended? What am I missing?

Not intended at all. Can you check for me if your iPad's sound switch is turned off?

Thanks for the quick response! Well, my iPad has a pair of buttons, and yes, I’m able to hear Apple Music and videos from the web just fine. I also have switched music on in the app (icon without strike through), and turned Sounds for notifications and Sound Effects shows sound volume way up. When I looked for my iOS version of 12.2, I found I have an iPad Air 2. I have turned off the device and deleted the app and downloaded again.

@tiereza We'll look into this asap and get back to you. The quirky music is a core part of the experience! In the mean time, can you make sure it's both not muted with the hardware switch, and that volume is turned up?

Just checking to see if you have any idea yet why I only have sound with headphones plugged in on this app only? It’s so bizarre.

Hi Jeanne! Still reviewing this one. It's not happening on our own iPads, so we're going to see what's up in the next update..
